Mik van den Noort is an independent consultant specialized in leadership in organizations. Her activities are mainly centred around individual and group effectiveness in organization transformation. In her practice in The Netherlands she coaches teams and individuals and consults organizations. She regularly performs as executive coach with the INSEAD Global Leadership Centre in Fontainebleau. She also works in the Leadership Programs of ESMT – European School of Management and Technology in Berlin.

In recent years she has consulted to a vast number of senior executives and professionals. Amongst her clients are international companies (finance, fast moving consumer goods, aviation, publishing, biotechnology) and professional firms (strategic consulting, law). Not for profit clients include governmental organizations, symphony orchestras and hospitals.

After having worked for a law firm, KLM and RAI Conference & Exhibition Centre respectively, she joined the international publishing company VNU. There she started with marketing and sales of copyrights worldwide, but became fascinated by ‘people in the organization’. She became responsible for management and organizational development at VNU. In 1990, she joined Ebbinge Consultants, which later merged with KPMG. As a partner of KPMG since 1994, she combined her responsibilities for recruitment and selection for senior positions with people development activities centred around large mergers and organization transformation.

She initiated and lead KPMG Ebbinge’s Coaching&Counseling business unit and focussed on leadership development and career coaching. Since Ebbinge’s demerger from KPMG in January 2004, she continues her consultancy practice independently.

Mik van den Noort graduated from the Language Institute of the University of Amsterdam where she took a degree in English. A postgraduate study in Change Management followed. She completed her Executive Master studies Coaching and Consulting for Change at INSEAD in Fontainebleau. She is member of ISPSO.
